A cold and snowy day — Wool 4 (preview #2)

Schedule a photo shoot and you can be sure that you’ll be slogging through the worst blizzard of the season. Or, if it’s summer, the sun will be hard yellow and shining maniacally. But we got lucky on the day of the Wool 4 shoot. We were comfortably warm and dry indoors, with lots of soft winter light to work with. Joy.

Note the gentle illumination of the living room window sill in the photo above and how it highlights the folds on Melissa’s cushy, rosy cowl below. Look closely and you can almost make out the interesting stitch variation in this otherwise garter stitch cowl. It’s hard to see here (this is a preview, after all). So remember to look for its knitterly details when the book comes out next Wednesday.
