This shawl. The work of fairies, no?
I love it. It’s crocheted, not knitted. And it’s not hard to do. I’ve just proofed the pattern, and I could easily follow the instructions. And if I can figure them out, so, oh so, can you. You’ll need a hook, (F/5) and two skeins of Sparrow. The pattern? We’ll post it on Wednesday when we release our first ever crochet (!) collection. T’will be an e-book of five lovely designs by Rebecca Velasquez: The shawl above, the mitts below, and the sweater, hat, and ascot all further below.
For a chance at one of three giveaway copies of Crochet, post a comment below. On Wednesday, just before we launch the collection/patterns, we’ll choose 3 entries and announce the winners right here. So, thoughts…? Read on for notes on the pieces that follow.
Apricot–my favorite color on this bleak, gray day in January. This is NOT how it looks here today.
An easy beret. So pretty, so modern. With a knitted hatband, no less.
And little keyhole ascot, with floral motifs embedded in the mesh pattern.
