Pratt STEAMPlant Project x Quince & Co.

Over the past year I have had the pleasure of working with the Knitting Professor at Pratt Institute.  This fall she approached me about a really exciting project - Pratt's Dye Garden had partnered with Brooklyn Public Elementary School PS270 to teach students about various ways to dye yarns using plant material, and to ultimately weave the yarn. This project is part of the STEAMplant initiative at Pratt which works to combine art & STEM.

Quince was asked to donate the yarn for this initiative.  We donated 30 skeins of Osprey in Egret.  We are so thrilled to have been able to participate in this amazing program and look forward to more exciting partnerships with our friends at Pratt, read all the details here and here.
