Gauge:
23 sts and 27 rnds = 4” [10 cm] in colorwork pattern (St st), after blocking
Construction:
Cowl is worked from the bottom-up with central double decreases at the center front. The piece starts with a ribbed border worked in the round. As the piece grows, the stitches reduce to create a funnel shape. Near the neck edge, the piece is split and worked flat with short rows to the top, then joined in the round again for the upper ribbing. Colorwork section is worked solely from charts.
