FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

52" [132 cm] circumference and 8" [20.5 cm] deep

YARN:

puffin / slate 143 / 4 skeins

NEEDLES:

32" circular in size US 17 [12.75 mm]

GAUGE:

8½ sts and 16 rows = 4" [10 cm] in fisherman’s rib held double, after blocking 

NOTES:

Cowl is worked flat lengthwise with double strand of yarn. Stitches are picked up along one long side, and rib pattern is worked for a few inches, then bound off. Short ends are seamed.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Long-tail cast on, mattress stitch (links provided).
