FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

8¼" [21 cm] long, heel to toe (unstretched), and 3½" [9 cm] heel to ankle / shown on women's size US 8

YARN:

osprey / 1 skein each: clay 113 (A); petal 111 (B); kumlien’s gull 152 (C)

NEEDLES:

pair in size US 9 [5.5 mm] / spare needle in size US 9 [5.5 mm]

GAUGE:

16 sts and 24 rnds = 4" [10 cm] in stockinette stitch, after blocking

NOTES:

Slipper flats are knitted flat, from the ribbed edge to the center of the foot, with shaping at top of toe, and short row shaping at heel. Bottom of foot is joined using the three-needle bind off, then back of foot is sewn closed.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Long-tail cast on, increasing, decreasing, three-needle bind off, seaming.
