German Springerle 100% pure beeswax primitive rustic wooly sheep ornament. Before glass Christmas ornaments were made, German bakers would make beeswax ornaments out of their cookie, and candy molds. They would sell the ornaments to their customers to decorate their homes and Christmas trees. Beeswax ornaments became an essential holiday tradition.
This German Springerle sheep shaped ornament is made from pure Ohio beeswax and features a lovely raised sheep designed ornament. You will also enjoy the natural sweet aromatic smell of pure beeswax, and a beautiful glow when held up to the light.
The ornament is made from 100% pure beeswax and hand-poured the Old-World traditional way as it has been done for hundreds of years. Each beeswax sheep Springerle shaped ornament measures: approx 4 3/8 " in height, and 5 1/8" wide. Because these ornaments are hand-poured there will be slight differences to your ornament. When Beeswax cools it contracts and shrinks, this will cause the wax to harden with some imperfections.
