Here at Quince we dream about color, day in and day out. Our yarn palettes continue to grow, happily, although there will forever be an insatiable desire to develop new shades, extend our palettes even more, create new perfect pairings and complementary combos. We know dyers and fiber artists understand our love for the infinite possibilities of color, and beginning today we have new offerings for the aspiring dyer or seasoned experimentalist.
Just added to our Bare lineup of all-natural, undyed 100g skeins: Our 50/50 wool/alpaca Owl in medium-gray Albertine—the perfect base for overdyeing. We love the effects that can be achieved dyeing over gray rather than natural white, and we think Owl's unique, fuzzy character from its alpaca fiber content guarantees a fun and interesting experiment in dyeing.
We also welcome our new Bare yarn/dye book bundles! Each bundle contains:
• three 100g skeins of undyed, all-natural yarn (choose from Tern, Chickadee, Osprey, or Owl—Lark will be back in stock soon)
• the The Modern Natural Dyer book, by Kristine Vejar
These bundles have a great value over purchasing each item individually, and are an excellent introduction to dyeing for a small project. Individual bare skeins are also available here, and the book may be purchased separately here.
