FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

approx 17 (19, 21)" [43 (48, 53.5) cm] in circumference, unstretched / will stretch easily to 19 (22, 24)" [48 (56, 61) cm] in circumference / shown in size 19" [48 cm] / to fit a child/adult small, (adult medium, adult large) head 

YARN:

osprey / pomegranate 112 / 1 (2, 2) skeins

NEEDLES:

set of 4 or 5 dpns in size US 10 [6 mm]

GAUGE:

4½ sts and 8½ rnds = 1" [2.5 cm] in modified k2, p2 rib pattern 

NOTES:

Hat is knitted in the round from brim to crown. Gauge and yarn requirements also given for Finch, Chickadee, Lark, and Puffin.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Channel Island cast on (link provided) or any elastic cast on, decreasing, working in the round.
