honeysuckle

Pam Allen

This peasant top knitted in soft, lace weight Owlet is a dream of a project. Honeysuckle features sweet gathered cuffs, a pretty smocked motif in the yoke, and a flowy fabric in the body. The piece is started at the bottom hem and is worked in the round to the underarm, where the front and back are separated and worked flat to the shoulders. Shoulders shaped with yarnover short rows are joined using an exposed three-needle bind off. Sleeves are picked up from around the armholes and are worked in the round to the cuffs. A simple rib trim is picked up around the neck opening.
