Stone Wool

Alba is a wear-it-all-the-time pullover, it’s roomy and comfortable. The body is worked from the bottom up, starting with the split hem, which is edged at the sides in tidy garter stitch. At the underarm stitches are cast on for sleeves, and the yoke, a hybrid raglan and saddle shoulder, is knitted in one piece to the neck. For sleeves, stitches around the sleeve openings at the yoke’s bottom edge are picked up and knitted down. Here the sleeves are extra-long, but knitting from underarm to cuff means you can make them any length you’d like. The neck edge is finished with a simple neckband of 1x1 rib.
