Gauge:
16 sts and 20 rows = 4" [10 cm] in elongated cross stitch pattern with larger needles, after blocking.
Construction:
Cardigan is worked from the top down, beginning with a provisional cast on for the body width and sleeve lengths. The back shoulders and sleeves are shaped with German short rows. Right and left front body and sleeves are worked individually from the provisional cast on stitches down to the underarm. Once the underarm is reached, sleeve stitches are joined together with Kitchener stitch. The remaining body stitches are joined together and worked in one piece from the top down.
