Named for the desolate black sand beach on California's lost coast, this child’s raglan pullover, knit from the top down in Tern, combines vintage lace elements with modern shaping for a unique piece that can easily be dressed up or down.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

23¼ (24¾, 26¾, 28¾, 30¼)" [59 (63, 68, 73, 77) cm] chest circumference to fit size 2 (4, 6, 8, 10) / sample shown in size 4 with 1¾" [4.5 cm] positive ease

YARN:

tern / terra cotta 416 / 3 (3, 4, 4, 5) skeins 

NEEDLES:

16" and 24" circulars in size US 4 [3.5 mm] / set dpns in size US 4 [3.5 mm]

GAUGE:

23 sts and 34 rnds = 4" [10 cm] in stockinette stitch, after blocking

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Long-tail and backward loop cast ons, short rows, invisible ribbed bind off (links provided); increasing, decreasing, working in the round. Charts and line-by-line instructions included.
