Quince & Co. x Vickie Howell

Strokkur, named after a legendary Icelandic geyser, is knit from the bottom up and with central colorwork, and a ribbed neckline designed to be folded over for maximized warmth.

The design for this cowl was inspired by Vickie’s trip to Iceland. She was struck not only by the beauty of the stranded motif yokes on the traditional, and still popular pullovers but also by the fact that handiwork, in general, seemed to be respected and revered. So much so, that imagery of it can be found on their currency! Knit in squishy, lofty, plump Owl, the blend of alpaca and wool makes it soft and cozy, while holding beautiful stitch definition.
