Squishy, lofty, plump, little Owl is made from a blend of American wool and alpaca. It's spun and dyed in New England and knits up between 4½ to 5 stitches per inch, the perfect weight for just about everything.
Our Bare yarns come straight from the mill. Gently wash for a pretty, un-dyed creamy white or after washing, color them your way with hand-dyes. Five options in four weights: Tern (fingering), Chickadee (sport), Lark and Owl (worsted), and Osprey (aran). All are 100g skeins.
Newly added to our lineup are beautifully bare skeins of our 50/50 wool/alpaca Owl in all-natural, medium-gray Albertine—the perfect shade for experimenting with overdyeing.
Bare yarn/book bundles containing 3 skeins of yarn and Kristine Vejar's book, The Modern Natural Dyer, are now available.
