Construction:
The center panel of the cardigan is worked first, starting at the back hem. Shaping is worked to mimic the front V-neck shaping. Back neck stitches are bound off, then the right and left fronts are worked separately, over the shoulders and down the front, and are bound off at the bottom hem. Right and left halves of the cardigan are picked up from the outer edges of the center panel and worked outwards. Side seams are joined with a 3-needle bind off with slip-stitch pockets built into the seam. The center stitches of the right and left halves form the sleeves, which are worked flat down to the cuff with shaping around the center panel. Button band is picked up around the entire front and neck edge.
