Pretty Bower is deliciously clever to knit. Beginning at the bottom edge of the front pieces, this cardigan is worked up, over the shoulders, and down to the bottom edge of the back, with only the sides to seam. A simple length of i-cord adds stability to the open back neck, and leaf motifs grace the cardigan fronts.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

35¼ (39½, 43¾, 48, 52¼, 56½)" [89.5 (100.5, 111, 122, 132.5, 143.5) cm] bust circumference; shown in size 39½" [100.5 cm] with 5½" [14 cm] positive ease

YARN:

kestrel / sand 501 / 6 (7, 8, 9, 10, 11) skeins

NEEDLES:

one pair or 24" circular in size US 10 [6 mm] / set dpns in size US 10 [6 mm]

GAUGE:

15 sts and 20 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stockinette stitch, after wet blocking

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Long-tail cast on, seaming, increasing and decreasing, charts and line-by-line instructions included.
