With our first mill-spun yarn, developed in partnership with Stone Wool, we’ve stayed true to our roots, using springy Cormo wool from a pair of ranches located in Wyoming and Montana, and tinkering with the spin to make sure we’re getting the most from this lovely fiber.
We worked with Mountain Meadow mill to create a special method of fiber preparation, one that marries woolen and worsted processes. The result is a unique yarn with woolen-spun’s airy loft and worsted’s strength. Springy, lofty, and with a substantial hand, Stone Wool Cormo offers crisp stitch definition and elegant texture in knitting.
The yarn blooms in the soak and can be knitted in a wide range of gauges for different fabrics. We recommend needles size US 6 - 7 for hard wearing knits, up to US 9 - 10 for knits with drape.
Because our wool is not harshly scoured, a small amount of VM may be present.
We offer a range of shipment options through USPS. The shipping cost will depend on order size and destination - our shipping pricing comes directly from USPS.
You will receive a shipping confirmation, including a tracking number once we process your order. We are a small team, and this may take up to 2-3 business days. For more information on shipping please see our FAQs.
