Italian based designer Mirva Scivola presents Olivo socks.

The olive tree is a familiar sight throughout the Mediterranean, easily recognized from afar by its soft gray-green leaves and low, rounded form. Its blossoms are so small and subtle that it took the designer years to notice when the tree was actually in bloom. Fresh olives, when first picked, are intensely bitter and inedible, yet Italians have found countless ways to transform them into something delicious and essential.

In the Olivo socks, those delicate blossoms inspire the motif that gently adorns the leg of an otherwise simple sock. Knit in Starling, the socks are worked from the cuff down with a contrasting color used for the leg motif, heel, sole, and toe.
