iris in phoebe
How about a sweater for Phoebe? Welcome Iris, a pretty cardigan designed by Dawn Catanzaro for our decadent new DK weight yarn.
Dawn designed this sweater with simplicity in mind, to allow the shifting tones of Phoebe's colorways (shown here in Saturn) to shine. It features a near-seamless construction, worked from the bottom up in one piece to the underarm, separating front and back for the remainder. After the shoulders are seamed, sleeves are picked up from the armhole and worked down in the round, with short rows to shape the sleeve cap.
Simple aside, there are lovely little details that make this cardigan special: shaping on the back of the garment which follows the curve of the back, and twisted-stitch ribbing at neck and cuff trims, as well as at the shoulders and upper back.
Iris is written for eight sizes, from 30½" through 57" finished bust, requiring a mere 3 to 5 skeins of Phoebe.
