kestrel 2016 spotlight: tamsin

Pretty Tamsin from Kestrel 2016 is in our sights today. The shoulder-baring tank from our newest design team collection is worked from the bottom up in four pieces—two for the front, two for the back—and exposed seams at the center and sides of the body add a nice detail to the swingy A-line shape.

Identical front and back pieces are worked in reverse stockinette stitch to show off Kestrel's natural linen characteristics. Simple trims at Tamsin's neckline and arm openings keep things understated and easy.

Dawn Catanzaro designed Tamsin for nine sizes, from 31" through 55" (86.5 through 139.5 cm) finished bust. Worked at a gauge of 4 stitches per inch and requiring between 6-10 skeins of our Aran-weight Kestrel ribbon linen yarn, we think this is just the kind of quick, relaxing project to knit in anticipation of enjoying those summer days ahead of us, having long stowed our winter coats out of sight, and out of mind.

Don't forget, we've bundled our design team collections—buy Sparrow 2016 and Kestrel 2016 collections together for $24, or buy all three spring collections (Piper 2016, Sparrow 2016, and Kestrel 2016) for $31.
