meet our new ceo

I would like to introduce myself; my name is Michelle Kohanzo and I am the new CEO of Quince and Co. I have previously held roles at Kid Made Modern as CEO and The Land of Nod as Managing Director. I am thrilled to bring my expertise in building creative brands to the Quince team.

A bit about myself, I am the mother of 4 amazing kids. I have been married for 21 years and live outside of Chicago. I am an avid maker and crafter. I enjoy weaving, crocheting, home decorating, and cooking and baking for my family, among many other things. I am a new knitter, having just completed my first two garter stitch scarves. My next project is a chunky knit blanket for my niece, and I plan to tackle a simple sock project soon. I look forward to immersing myself in the knitting and fiber world and becoming a proficient knitter and advocate of the craft. Stay tuned for some behind-the-scenes of what we are all working on here at Quince, it’s quite extraordinary.

I come to Quince excited for all of the possibilities. We have a strong and passionate team, that I look forward to working with tirelessly to make Quince the best place to work and a continued favorite resource for our customers to purchase beautiful yarn, inspiring patterns, and hand selected goods. Quince has had its fair set of challenges over the past year, the team has done a wonderful job of addressing the issues faced and I look forward to shepherding in a new chapter of thoughtful and intentional work that resonates with our community of makers.
